Daily Snow Report and Events Just because you look outside your window and there's no snow on the ground, that doesn't mean Alpine Valley is closed. Located in the heart of Ohio's Snowbelt, Alpine Valley receives more natural snow than any other "Snow Fun" area in Ohio and when Mother Nature doesn't cooperate our state-of-the-art snowmaking machines take over to assure the best possible snow conditions throughout 100% of the area. Each night, usually beginning around the first week of December when the temperature drops below 28 degrees, the Alpine Valley snowmaking team begins converting millions of gallons of water into snow throughout the area.
